I wish I were artistic and creative. I wish I had a clean house all the time. Because when the house is clean - all is right in the world. I wish all that clutter would just disappear - where does it come from anyways? I wish my recipes were organized. Because there's a lot in my folders and stacks that I want to try out....but never seem to find them when I want them. I wish I had more time each day to read - to read all the many books on my wish list. I wish I lived more free and unscripted. Instead of getting upset when my routine and schedule are thrown off track. I wish I could do 2 workouts a day so that I could figure out how to include step aerobics, running, weights, zumba and line dancing all into my workout routine. I wish I was that idealistic domestic wife - you know, the one that cooks and cleans and wears aprons and the house always smells like cookies and is spot-less and has that pretty yard full of flowers that are colorful and amazing. I wish I had a house with a fabulous back-yard, fenced in - and a sunroom where I could sit with my coffee and watch the dogs in the yard acting all nutty.
Yeah - I have a list of stuff I'd love to do and wish I were......but I'm not. I can't draw a straight line and I can't picture how something will look. I print off tons of recipes that I want to make and they are cluttering up my house completely unorganized. I never do as much cooking as I wish I did. My house is never as clean as I want it to be. I stay more tired than I would like. I would love to sew - make something - create something - but never seem to find the time.
But that's just life. My life. That's ok - because I may not be creative - but then I wouldn't be an accountant. And I do like spreadsheets and excel masterpieces. And for everything to balance. I may not have the cleanest house on the street, but it's comfy. It's home. It has snuggly cold noses and dog hair that gives it character. And I'm happy. I have the most amazing husband, family, and friends. I love my schedule and the things I have made room for and squeezed in. And hopefully - one day - I'll find the time, or make the time, for all those want-to-do things.

2011......Really?!?!
Can you believe that it's 2011 already? 10 years since high school! YIKES! Where is the time going?!!? I had a pretty good 2010 but I am very excited for this year....I know I was making progress last year, but I hope to actually visually see that progress this year and have it really pay off.
So, I guess that leaves me with my goals for this year - I've made them and put them up on my wall at work - so thought I would share them here - and hopefully some of you will share yours with me and we can help each other towards our goals!
